Is it True that UK women do not invest in themselves?

Do uncertain times ahead mean PRIME is not possible?

Chief, valued at $1bn made a decision this month to close down its clubhouse in London, after only entering the London market in OCT 2022. It is an INCREDIBLE platform with a fast u-turn.

I feel their pain. There is a LOT of uncertainty in the market. People are scared.

But let me tell you where I stand with PRIME….

I didn’t come THIS far to COME this far.

I believe women are infinitely powerful ESPECIALLY when we gather together.

PRIME is unique because it is ALL about increasing your CONFIDENCE, taking BOLD ACTION and NETWORKING STRATEGICALLY like your life depends on it.

I am digging in.

I am seeking and taking on feedback.

I am thinking strategically & creatively – and I am here if you have suggestions.

This will only work though if we all work it.

NON-NEGOTIABLES for 2024?

Consider what your non-negotiables are at work and in life. Even though it's no longer January – there is still a vibe and momentum of setting intention and order to your 2024 year.

YOU NEED REST BUT HAVE NO TIME

Let me introduce you to NON DEEP SLEEP REST (NDSR) Protocol.

Why do you ladies think I study neuroscience like a freak?

This 10 minute video by Stanford Neuroscientist Dr. Dan Huberman is one of the coolest things I’ve tried in a while .

It works.

Added bonus, the man has a voice like butttttttttttter.

NSDR is used to reduce day-time fatigue and improving focus. It can also greatly enhance your sleep, boost your mood, and promote Neuroplasticitythe ability of your brain to change and grow.

You can also use this technique listening to BINAURAL BEATS on Spotify.

What are binaural beats? When you hear two tones — one in each ear — that are slightly different in frequency, your brain processes a beat at the difference of the frequencies. This is called a binaural beat.

DOES YOUR DOC UNDERSTAND THE COMPLEXITY OF YOUR BOD & HORMONES?

If you are lucky - the answer is yes.

But the more I hear about women in the UK going through hormonal changes but put on anti-anxiety or depression medication or worse, told "nothing is wrong" with them it just ticks my tits!

Dr. Amy Shah is a wealth of info on women over 40 and she delivers incredible info on PODCASTS, INSTAGRAM and YOUTUBE shorts.

Get her brain into your brain and start learning about what is really going on in your body.

Check out this podcast on food cravings with one of the greatest speakers and coaches that I have studied in the States – Ed Mylett.

THOUGHTS ON THE BIG CHILL & THE 80s

Admittedly, I am obsessed with the 80s.

I LOVE the simplicity of that decade.

I LOVE the era BEFORE the advent of smart phones.

I love the ridiculous fashion, BIG hair and huge shoulder pads.

I love the music. OMG the music.

I love that you could watch movies WITHOUT gratuitous sex or shocking violence.

I love the way the grain shows on films, (for some reason it feels more authentic).

How did I come across this movie? I was going to an exclusive dinner in Phoenix that I paid $3,000 to attend – it was with some big players – a lot happened that I need to process in that dinner but I am going to talk about it – just not here (still processing). On the 8-hour flight I decided to watch this movie and felt so good after.

The women with their strange 80s haircuts (they had these wings on either side of their head – hair feathered back super short on either side), the frizzy natural curls, Glenn Close’s absolutely incredible bottom dancing around her kitchen, the Aviator sunglasses, the fuchsia pink lipstick, the women’s blouses buttoned all the way to the very collar with these big flouncy bows across the chest.

I thought to myself – Dawn - why did you love that so much?

It was the simple PRESENCE.

A group of late 30-something friends gathering in a house by the beach CONNECTING, laughing, EATING together – the long dinners & long leisurely breakfasts the morning after. The slow meandering walks outside.

The way they just got to BE with each other.

The way they connected.

The way they held each other to account and called each other out on their BS.

No one was glued to smartphones or obsessed with their &*KNG laptops.

There were records and REALLY GOOD music.

There was silliness and LAUGHTER.

There was understanding the absolute ABSURDITY of adult life and middle age.

There were human injuries because of the ego and the fact that we cannot jump like we used to in our 20s.

There was REALLY GOOD wine.

There were conversations that meant something – that had SUBSTANCE - that went early into the morning hours.

It made me think closely about the FEELING I want to evoke of trust and community at PRIME Events (minus all the pot – because they smoked A LOT in the Big Chill lol).

It made me think about music (and I have been listening to 70s & 80s mixes ever since – JEREMIAH WAS A BULLFROG!)

It made me think about how useful and yet dangerous smartphones and laptops are – and why so many of us can feel disconnected and lonely.

How we can be in a room but never present.
